• Tipping is customary for good service.
• There is an additional $10.00 surcharge for all points in the State of New York during the following rush hour times:
  • 6:00AM to 10:00AM (Monday to Friday)
  • 3:00PM to 8:00PM (Monday to Friday)
  • 12:00PM to 9:00PM (Saturday & Sunday)

Important Taxi Tips:

• It is unlawful for an owner or driver of a taxicab to charge or cause to be charged, except as hereinafter provided, a greater sum for the use of a cab than in accordance with the rate schedule of fares for service from Newark Liberty International Airport when conveying one or more persons (in the same group) to any point in any municipality in New Jersey other than those specified in special areas and to any point in New York City, excluding tolls.
• Round trip tolls are not included in quoted fare.
• There is an additional $1.00 charge for each piece of baggage over 24 inches.
• There is a 10% senior citizen discount (62 years and older) upon presentation of proper identification.
• $1.75 PANYNJ Airport Access Fee will apply per trip for pick-ups only.
• Please take your receipt from the Taxi Dispatcher and retain for your records.
• The local taxi commissions automatically add a surcharge to all credit card transactions.

Effective April 5, 2021: $2.50 per-trip airport access fee is applied to all for-hire vehicle (Uber, Lyft, etc.) drop-offs and pick-ups. A $1.25 discount will be applied for pooled rides.

Taxi Trips

Effective January 5, 2025: Your trip may be subject to an additional fee for the MTA’s NYC Congestion Pricing Program.

Due to construction, customers travelling into Lower Manhattan between 10:30PM and 5:00AM will have to utilize alternative river crossings for the return trip to New Jersey. A surcharge of $5.00 will apply.
